Yes holding them hostage could be lucrative to him. I like the tea theory. Quiet and simple. I don't think this would be a good time to have him do something big though. Kishi has Sasuke, Danzo, and Madara to clear up for us. So even though it would be cool to see something happen with him. I don't think it would be a good idea to have him start something that would get out of control plot wise.

I still think someone should fight the kages though. Like I said, that is what I'm waiting for. The series needs a pinnacle like this to happen in the story. It would be epic to see them fight. And, I think that Kishi wrote in the sneak attack on Danzo while he was traveling to the meeting to show us what he's made of and that he still can fight.
