Talking about making sense, didn't Cecily claim to prove how stupid she was? I thought she was trying to kill herself attacking them to show just how suicidal and pointless the girls' own plans were. Then she goes to defeat them all in a not-so-stupid way.

Was her point that stupidity wins battles or something?

This arc felt like a really roundabout way to show that Siegfried is up to something. Like we didn't know that. Other than that, all I can see in these girls is that they somehow become useful to the militant country and come as reinforcements when Cecily/Luke face off against those evil Imperial folks.
