this is really very true, and i was surprised to agree with you, because this is usually the exact thing i despise about romantic comedies...

i thought it was nice to see a dysfunctional cat family, and i loved the hot springs scene with Junpei yelling at the guys not to peep, then giving in to temptation himself. i am a bit bored of the tsundere character though. christ, take a hint is right...

this show gets bonus points for having most characters ACTUALLY act like high-schoolers. Mizuno and Junpei are believable, and i think that's a lot of the reason why the romance story in this keeps me interested. (also, Junpei's buddies have to be the most accurate depiction of Japanese high-schoolers I have ever seen. their stupid antics were a nice distraction for me in the rather generic "ruined bonding time" scene)
