Itachi has had the entire ninja world in a genjutsu since the alleged Uchiha annihilation. He used the genjutsu to make the whole world believe that the Uchiha's were dead. The world since then has been nothing but a mass illusion under Itachi's control.

So would that mean Kishi has a bigger hard-on for Itachi than Sasuke? And that would be a more reasonable plot device than a lot of the crap that's been force-fed to us for the past while.

I'm a fan of this plan. I'm excited! I wanna see Danzou double penetrated by them (figuratively of course) and immediately I want Naruto to fall to them ushering in an era of Uchiha rule.
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills
