This was actually half decent. And that's saying a lot. No doubt due to Naruto doing nothing significant to the plot. Even the enemy village, ninja, their backgrounds, and powers were quite well thought out. Down to the fact the enemy village was weak and thus needed to employ such exceedingly risky tactics.

I expect that whoever wrote the plot for this episode has already been fired in favour of the usual monkeys working for cheap bananas.
