Blood-C is kind of crappy, but the fights alone have been keeping my attention. Thankfully, it is starting to build together. There's hints here and there about how much more is going on than we're being told. Things such as:

- The Covenant. We don't know much about it at this point, but now it has been mentioned twice, and her father seems to know at least what it is, though he certainly isn't telling Saya yet.
- The Elder Bairns suggesting that Saya is being equally used (by who goes unmentioned). This is sort of implying that she isn't really that dissimilar to them. Do they mean that she too is a hunter (like they see themselves), or that she is also a man-eater but doesn't know it. The latter depends on whether or not Saya is a vampire, or that she is Saya from The Last Vampire...which brings me to the next point.
- The flashbacks in episode 4. They clearly showed the climatic scene in Blood: The Last Vampire.
- Saya is given "special" coffee made just for her. Is it "coffee," substituting for blood, or is it something to keep her brainwashed and controlled?
- The town itself is really weird. Nobody lives in it. Saya never encounters a single person through her entire route, despite passing a number of houses. The twins mentioned how empty the town is too.
- Tokizane versus Itsuki. There is a strange conflict between these two (not untypical of CLAMP shows though...). Tokizane seems detached, yet he is rather unusually concerned about Saya's wellbeing. Itsuki on the other hand, comes off very concerned about what Saya is doing. He's always got his eye on her, but it doesn't seem to be love or concern or attraction. It's something else. It feels...off.

It's enough to keep me interested, but it isn't a series that I feel like watching as soon as it comes out. It's starting to get there though.
