I just started reading the 4th novel which continues where the anime stopped. I find the novel to be far funnier than the anime, mainly because of all the internal monologue and narration that Kodaka delivers. This type of story fits the light novel format very well because there really is no need for visuals, much like Seitokai no Yakuindomo.

This type of story is not really my cup of tea (I usually prefer mystery light novels, like Utsuro no Hako, Gekkou, and Tsukumodo Antique Shop), but this was actually pretty enjoyable. I find myself stifling a laugh every few minutes because I read this at work.

I also really enjoy the references in the story, but that goes without saying for someone like me.
