    I thought Archer couldn't trace Excalibur. At least thats what he said in Unlimited Blade Works.

    Since this is an alternate setting, they can "adapt" some details.
    Morevover, we're talking about Illya, who isn't your typical girl. At least she should'nt be.
    She has some powers/designs Shiro never had. So they can always use that as an explanation.
