    I might have missed something, but I'm pretty sure Black learnt rosé because his Zamasu part experienced Goku's Blue.

    All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

    i am on the same page, i think that black's body is learning patterns from fighting goku, like when goku did this teletransportation thing to hit black and then black using the same trick 2 mins after.

    on the other hand he do have a saiyan body, and its not like "they get stronger when near death" but "they get stronger after being beat up" which means that being near death they get a more powerfull power-up

    He learned Rose by going super saiyan after the power up from fighting Goku, he is stronger because Goku is a noob at god ki while Black is far more advanced at it.
