I made the mistake of watching all of Dragonball Z Abridged this month...

Now I like those characterizations of the characters so much better that I can't keep them straight with the actual ones.

Some events don`t happen exactly as they did in the anime and I think explain better some things (such as the Goku Vs. Hit) fight.

I don't think the explanations are very helpful though given that events play out completely differently. Goku deals with Hit's time-skip in a different way, and he doesn't even use Kioken in the manga version.

I will say, manga Zenos is way cooler than Anime Zenos, who just seems like a dumb toddler.

Let me rephrase it then, I like the think of the manga version as the "real" one, since it actually kinda makes sense, kaioken or not.

Goku's more powerful transformations actually "shorten" Hit's time stop. Not sure how that makes sense. Seems to cut out a lot of shit too. Like the barrier around Vegeta and Mageta's fight that is the only reason Vegeta struggling in that fight makes sense. Frost also comes off as much less of a villain. Yeah, he's a cheater, but they make it seem like he doesn't want to be there in the first place. There's none of that "villain posing as the leader of a peacekeeping force" backstory he has in the anime.

I always consider the "real" one to be whichever one comes first. And while that's the manga 90% of the time, I get the feeling the manga in this instance is an adaptation of the anime/movie scripts given the timeframe.

I meant the Hit fight specifically, I don`t remember Goku`s transformation shortening the time, but I believe Hit did not just increase the time stop duration to ridiculous numbers. It was also implied that Hit can`t actually control his movements during the time stop, which would make Goku assuming Hit`s attacks more plausible.
