The problem is that guns and rifles are powerless because REASONS.
In reality, a civilian using a rifle would kill most of these villains instantly, including Shigaraki - he's not gonna regenerate from a headshot.

"She's the only non-loli girl in the show, your honor!" will be my defense in court
Not sure how writing quality relates. Magic power is magic power. They've never established the brain as any kind of weak spot that negates powers.
Shigaraki might develop a safety decay barrier for fast moving objects comming his way.
Bullet problem solved with easy writing

It doesn't get more AMERICAN than that. Star and Stripe, singular.
Horikoshi is so lazy with names.
I wonder if the "Cape kills heroes" gag is going to happen.
Otherwise this episode for me was all about Mineta trying to be Todoroki-cool.
And Stain I guess. That guys got conviction. Reminds me of Scar from Fullmetal Alchemist.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Oops, forgot to mention Stain. Yeah, he stole the episode by serving dark justice. A lot of the dialogue or commentary in MhA can start to blend together after a while, but Stain's tirades grab attention.
Off topic, but pertinent to previous episodes, does anyone know of a shounen MC that cries as much (or as often) as deku? I was thinking about what MhA does to differentiate itself from the herd, and Izuku's waterworks was one of the first things that came to mind. Boy just cries at... almost everything. Things have been bad-getting-worse for two seasons now, so I don't blame him per say, but the story is constructed in a way to give Deku plenty of sad points every other episode and the levity sections don't have much impact to counterbalance it.
While that's not a bad thing, after a while, it wears down the audience and our sympathy, eroded, ceases to identify with the character and he reverts to being the center of a 'story' that has now has some pacing issues. Glad they ended the season on a hype shot.
No, I don't know of anyone in Shounen who cries.
Some series have main characters who cry, usually for comedic effect. But not the MC.

Jfc, 3 straight episodes of recap now?
What are you talking about? Season starts in 2 weeks.

Episode 139
----------------
That was a pretty fun quirk. The "two rules" thing seems to apply loosely, because she's controlling both lasers and air right now. That is, unless she turned her self-buff off, in which case her muscles aren't "inflated" like All Might's but are actually real.
If it's not Isuzu-chan Mii~
Tomura's 4th-wall breakingly hard body ruins this fight for me. It's like the writer is part of the fight waiting for a random moment where he'll decide:"NOW he can be hurt... but not by all those devastating attacks before".
But to what degree he gets hurt is entirely arbitrary. He got hit with LASERS and his body didn't get torn apart. Why should I beleve missiles will do more damage? And when that fails, what's next? At this point I believe he'd even survive getting nuked. So all the fighting boils down to: he's getting pushed around until the writer decides: NOW.
He's Deku's nemesis. He can't be dealt with before Deku does.
All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

That was a pretty cool conclusion. Despite Star's short time on screen, I found the whole thing cooler than Demon Slayer Spoiler [Rengoku's death]
