I didn't watch Giant Killing, but I read a bit on it and liked it. Don't recall much of it though. Knight in the Area I've never watched/read.
My main point is that, based on 2 or 3 episodes into a show when that comment was made, the amount of drama vs. sport wasn't really any different to how other sports series have been approached, as in, pretty much most if not all are slow to get into it... so hard to tell at that point how the series will be balanced.
Though again, I'm not commenting on quality or whether you like it or not. Just think that making judgement AT THAT POINT on the balance of drama vs. sport when compared to how other sports shows have been approached would've been a mistake since there's really little difference.
