I'm interested in the music in this anime and how it'll sound and whether they'll focus on that too.

Unless this anime is a total failure and unfaithful to the manga, it'll focus on the training, playing and, music helluva lot. This isn't one of the stories where the music is just an excuse to have regular drama, comedy, slice of life, or that sort of things. That's all I'll say to avoid spoiling anything.
