I didnt find the video good, because that guy can never decide one a stance when it comes to the gross pervy scenes. On one hand he understand how this is shit that many don't wanna see, then he talks about how it's all part of Rudy's growth etc..
The real problem with these pervy scenes is that they DONT show any character growth in Rudy and, worse, that there's never a consequence to it. Maaaybe the big twist is that this whole society is one where perverts are accepted, but this hasn't been portrayed to the viewer thus far. As it stands, Paul is a rapist and cheater, his brother is a perv who offers his 12yo daughter to a 10yo boy, the grandpa is abusing the maids in secret. And Rudy treasures his teacher's panties, secretly observed her during masturbation, forced Ghilaine to let him touch her ass, groped and tried to undress Eris while she was asleep, then groped her again and tried to actually fuck her later on. On the market, a guy tried to sell him an aphrodisiac, explaining in detail to a then 8yo boy what this potion is about. Oh, and Roxy is fine with being repeatedly groped by the nasty child she's teaching, just putting him on flame for comedic relief.
None of these scenes are put in ANY context, other than "happening". That's what makes Mushoku Tensei a trash anime and no amount of good animation will be able to undo that shit.
I like the initial setup. I'm close to being that ugly bastard-Rudy, except for the loli stuff, no interest in that. So I would love to see such a story to unfold properly. But that never happens. If all the above listed scenes had believable consequences, THEN it'd be interesting and THEN there would be actual character growth. For example: When Roxy found out about him stealing her panties, she should have told the parents and he should have received punishment for it, because, BOO HOY, stealing a girl's panties isn't okay. When Rudy groped Eris in her sleep, he should have had a severe flashback to his old life and then stopped, reminding himself that this is a new life and he ought to be better. OR, because it doesnt need to be moral story, he should have had some inner monologue along the lines of "I missed out on this in my past life, now I'm gonna do whatever I want, haha!", doubling down on the behavior. When the nasty boy groped Eris, she should have told his parents, and if they didn't believe or if she was scared of them not believing her, she should have just left at once.
This anime never has any of that. No consequences at all. And that makes it a trash isekai, similar to all the other trash isekai. Except better, but not so much better to escape the label "trash anime". If you wanna praise this anime, and you can do that, then only by embracing the gross, dumb, trashy pervy scenes. But dismissing them as "I understand why many dont want to see this", then proceeding to praise the anime, that's having your cake and eating it, too.
