I remember reading the early chapters of the manga.
Isn't this basically 1:1 the manga?
Not sure if the Manga started with the "flash forward", but episode 2 felt like what I remembered reading.
I dropped it for a reason, it was boring as hell.
The only reason to watch it is because Lizard Girl exists.
The show itself is completely forgettable and uninteresting, even the struggles he will soon face are.
I'll never understand how Manga or Anime like this take off enough to even have an audience.
They aren't funny (episode 1 tried to be funny, but look how generic and bland the jokes where, even the delivery was horrible), they aren't cool (just cringe and boring, MC is emotionally dead as a brick), they aren't even interesting because it's not like actual medical knowledge is being applied - they went the most boring route with giving him god-like powers (they'll never explain how magic works, I'm sure of it.). It would've been 100 times better if he didn't have any powers at all, in a world where magical healers exists.
Not only would it make sense for an underground clinic to not be able to use "holy magic" (or whatever), it would also make sense that criminals won't get better access than "profane methods".
And that's where MC will come in, by providing access to medicine on a level that can rival magic.
