Naruto 2026 Rewatch Campaign

So Naruto is what brought me to gotwoot over twenty years ago. So I'm proposing a new challenge. I'm going to pretend it's October 2002. I'm going to try to watch one episode a week, and post about it here. I'd welcome everyone to join in if they want.

Episode 1: I forgot about all the 'inner Sakura' moments, and loved them. Also the closing song is still a banger 24 years later.

For a first episode however, I don't recall there being so little about the trio. Really it's a heart warming story about Iruka Sensei instead of Naruto.

I'm interested, not in watching, but in this thread.
the trio only becomes a thing in the third episode, we first have konohamaru and ebisu and sexy no jutsu until the series starts it's first real story.

I'll be reading this thread once you've watched a bunch of episodes. Personally, I thought about rewatching the Shippuuden-part, especially the war and the finale, because I've pretty much forgotten that. If I ever watched it, maybe I only read the manga? Dunno.

Episode 2: My Name is Konohamaru!

Not going to lie, not my favourite episode of the series. However maybe that's just me getting old. The transforming into a sexy lady stuff hits different when you're an old ass man.

However I did enjoy the ending of the episode where Naruto had his moment with Konohamaru talking about how to become the Hokage you need to have everyone believe in you. It made me think back to when he defeating Pain, and it was nice to see how early in the series they captured that.

Episode 3: Sasuke and Sakura, Friends or Foes

Interesting to see the groups form for the first time. I enjoy the early Sakura and Ino competition, really enjoying the inner thoughts monologues. I'm trying to remember when they stop happening in the series. I'm excited to get to the introduction of Kakashi, which if my memory serves me correctly is next episode.

Also they did Choji dirty in the early episodes just noting that he's fat. Not that it's part of his clan etc.

I honestly don't know what is the plot in the later half of the story, I remember the pre time-skip parts well, and the first few arcs, but not how it leads to the ending and who survives or gets done in by whom...
