sure, what a fantastic tradeoff, have a slight chance for minor damage, and just risk having all your bones crushed by the sand when you thouch it.
Gaara's defence is so great becuase it's also his offence, if you try charging at Gaara with an all out attack, you might hurt him, but if you don't have a way to escape, then your'e good as dead (or half crippeled Lee).
neji 64 point hakka (I refuse to call it divination...) won't work, cuase the armor of sand will absorb it, and using the gentle fist is risky as well, cuase it's possible that the armor of sand will be able to absorb it aswell (there's a diffrence between passing chackra through the skin than through highly packed sand)
Kaiten (heavenly spin is good, divine whirl is bad) will also be useless, cuase there's always sand below, so Gaara could easily just captue Neji's legs and force him to stop the spining motion, or else he'll twist his legs.
Neji is nice and stuff, but Gaara will totally own his X(used to be buddha symbol) - sealed ass and send him to do dishes in the hospital next to lee...
