Imma go create a thread titled "What is Naruto's favorite jitsu?"
I think his favourite is Sasuke because he wanted to train Sasuke instead of Naruto. But on the other hand, maybe Sasuke just asked him first? And after all, it was propably better that he didn't train Naruto, because Naruto got one of the best ninja to train him, Jiraya. Somehow I just think that Sasuke is his favourite, and that seems to be the opinion of the most people in this forum too.

Until Naruto met Jiraya, he didn't know where he was getting a chackra boost, even despite Kakashi seen him go Kyubi...
Ebisu is probably the least effective teacher for the tournament... chackra control is important to Sakura, cuz she needs every bit she can. The main thing Naruto needed to the 3rd exam was something that can let him counter his suprior enemies, which is exactly what Jiraya gave him...
think of it like this, let's say Naruto had the chackra control of Sasuke (even Sakura), what good would it do to him against Neji? it might help him to avoid being hit once or twice, but he'll just be jumping around and trying to buy time while Neji is on the offensive with his 360* sight...

Sasuke is favoured most by Kakashi offcourse.
Naruto doesn't need Kakashi he's getting trained by Jiraiya.

Oh Kakashi doesn't favor anyone of them. But he did take Sasuke into his special training because he has sharingan and he is Uchiha.
I mean that it's obvious to see that Kakashi just took Sasuke because he is the most adept to train him. He even said when he had the closet pervert (Ebisu wasn't he) to train Naruto and said that Ebisu could teach Naruto far better than he could.

Remember when he talks to gai about him being a bit like ya know...'why the fuck does he jump in' then he tells him he would have done the same looking at naruto...
I think he likes naruto more but sees sasuke more as a ninja than naruto...
Just my opinion though.
i dont think kakashi is the kinda guy to pick a favourite, and the only reason he chose sasuke over naruto was because he could train sasuke a lot betr than any1 else could. kakashi would probably train naruto with exactly the same technique as ebisu, so he saw no harm in letting ebisu taking over the reigns. i presume he likes different things in each character, but i dont think he has a favourite.
kakashi doesn't have a favourite....... he just did what was best in that situation...
sasuke was the one that needed to be trained the most because of the cursed seal....... if sasuke gets in a situation where he doesn't have enoght strenght then the cursed seal will activate and kakashi would have to kill him........ he didn't train naruto since naruto needed to train on the basics, and ebisu is an elite teacher that can teach aruto the basics better than kakashi........

I've generally always sensed Kakashi sort of leaning towards/favoring Sasuke in most areas. Especially now that all this has been going on, it seems pretty clear that he favors Sasuke.
Of course, you have one side where you have to say that Sasuke really needed Kakashi, and it was easier since they were both the same "type", but ..
Thinking about it, Ebisu may be an "Elite Teacher", but looking at him, I don't think he ever could have prepared Naruto for what he needed to do in the tournament - and I think Kakashi knew that.
I always just took that as Kakashi saying he cared more about what was going to happen with Sasuke than with Naruto.
But then .. maybe this is Kakashi's way of saying that Sasuke needs more help, because he has a weaker will? Naruto doesn't need Kakashi's help, because he has a stronger will and can get through more? Hm .. ^^
But if he does favor anyone, I'd have to say it'd be Sasuke. Though "favoring" is probably just him feeling that he needs to keep tabs on Sasuke more often.

well, i'd have to agree with the ppl saying he doesn't really "favor" anyone.......the reason he picked sasuke over naruto is probably cuz he knew he couldn't teach naruto anything useful.......like he said, naruto needed to know the basics first, and if he spent time teaching naruto what he should already know, he couldn't prepare sasuke for his match with gaara.
imo, kakashi knew that once naruto learned to control his chakra, he could pretty much take care of himself, and in the worse case scenario, the kyubi could always bail him out (like in the haku fight).
thats probably y he chose sasuke instead of naruto.....he's just being a good sensie.
