so just to sum up, the thrid hokage is saurtobi (his first name) and known as saru by the 1st and 2nd. most people have nicknames with their FIRST name like robert can be bob or rob.

also asuma&#39;s last name is sarutobi, no reltaion. besides all the students call their teachers by first name as said earlier.

and konohamru would have atleawst been seen with asuma if somehow asuma is related to the 3rd hokage. since konohamru is the grandson.
