The hit SNK series, the King of Fighters has something to do with these snake god(s) as well.

The two main characters are Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, who comes from a family with a cursed bloodline, this bloodline is called Orochi.

I wouldn't be surprised if something with these kinds of demons has to do with Orochimaru's origin. Maybe he got a book of the arcane arts or something as a child and realized that he was named Orochimaru for a reason.
