Those guys are definitely academy students.. I mean, CMON!! Look at their pathetic hand Seals!! Secondly, their not wearing any ninja hair band or whatchamacallits... So, I doubt if their even Genins!!

And they throw knives!! Oh My GOD!! WHo uses Knives and scissors?? Idiots!! Don't you know that Ninja's are supposed to use Kunai's and Shooting stars and not knives or scissors??

And the Kawamiri Jutsu.. very very poorly done. They used a Plank. For GOD SAKE! A PLANK!! How are you going to confuse the enemy using a plank?? They would see right through the plank right away knowing that you've done the kawamiri jutsu! They have surely forgotten the very basics of the Ninja academy. Ninja's uses logs. BEcause it's cool, For that very simple reason...
