I disagree with the "clashes with the original´s mood"-sentiment in here. They´re spreading the plot of the origina anime over several movies. IF they manage to make appropriate mood changes at the right time, it could turn out even more powerful of an impact on the audience. And really, the beginning of Berserk IS not that dark. It´s about Guts finding his dear friends, growing closer to the band of the hawk and, in a weird way, enjoying his life. I mean, the beginning definitely is the brightest, lightest part of the whole series, anyway.

What I´d complain about the above trailer is that some of the wide angle-scenes look badly computer-animated. Close-ups are fine, but when you have these wide open, big scenes with hundreds of characters, it starts looking worse. Still, doesn´t lower my excitement for these movies in any way.
