Well Gaara is a tad bit more powerful than Sasuke is. I like his crazy way and at the same time his existance is kind of sad with his past and so on. Its pretty obvious Gaara and Naruto will go nuts now that he caught up with Sauske and Gaara. Lets hope for a badass motherf**king fight now, the clash of the deamon boys is about to begin [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] It can become quite interesting if Gaara can change even more than now, sound like he can, Temari is shitting her pants thinking about it.

Sasuke did pretty damn good for beeing the little pathetic whimp he is (compared to Gaara) a couple of thousand chidori's more and maby he would have gotten Gaara [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. I'd really like to see more of his brother, he seems to be what Sasuke should have been. I think Itachi and Gaara could become good friends hehe.

A tad stronger? Gaara isn't even fully transformed yet and Sasuke's best move, Chidori, doesn't really have much of an effect on him which takes a massive ammount of chakra.

Also remember, in episode 62 when Naruto summoned up Kyubi's Chakra, the look on Gaara's face? It was a look of fear. ^.^

Yea, but Sasuke wasn't there to acknowledge him. Now it's Naruto's chance to show that he can kick Sasuke's ass. For some reason I don't really like Sasuke.

But anyways, the first 19 episodes were pretty good. These last 56 episodes aren't as satisifying as the first 19, maybe because it's only a prelude of what's going to happen.

I forget. why aren't we seeing sasuke with that funnel of immense purple chakra rising up around him, like when he was facing off against the sound ninja? (plz no spoilers btw, I just want to know why is sasuke's brand on his skin making him more handicapped now than powerful)

I'm guessing it's because either:

1) Sasuke is fighting the cursed seal
2) Gaara is stronger than what the cursed seal can provide.

Because of the seal Kakashi put on it. Apparently he can let a little of the power Orochimaru was talking about leak out, without turning him into the monster he was against the Sound ninja.

There you go JTD121. That sounds really reasonable to me.

As for Gaara vs Sasuke, as I said in the ep 74 thread, there is no way that Sasuke can even be close to the level that Gaara is at. A fully transformed Gaara must be at least jounin level, if not kage. Sasuke is lucky to have such a powerful 1v1 jutsu like chidori, but it still isn't enough.

As for Konohamaru or Sasuke becoming hokage after Sarutobi, I won't even dignify that with an answer. We really haven't watched enough to know who would succeed the old dude. I don't read the manga, so if I had to guess, the next hokage could be one of the Sannin.

Kakashi seems strong, and according to Gai he's Konoha's #1 technique specialist, but I don't think he'd be hokage.

Gaara WAS really cute... but now hes just plain freaky.

This was a really good episode, i did notice the tail thing and a few scenes where gaara looked REALLY freaky and unproportioned but i think they did that on purpose. I really wanna know whats going to happen to hokae =[ i kno they're focusing on gaara and everything but still.. its killing me. And alsso rock lee, neiji and everyone else still havent shown up AT ALL.. i know 30 minutes isnt a lot to squish everything togetherr but i hope they show up soon. Last comment: it was soo great how naruto saved sasuke's assss. i'd really like to see naruto kick gaara's ass somehow.. and i hope sasuke has to lay there all injured and watch! HAHAHA not that i have anything against sasuke ( HAHAHA ) just want this to be naruto's moment for once. ^_^

Now, I'll just go on being myself that arm-and-tail only Gaara looks freaky, and I have dubbed it the Thing. And everytime it appears on screen, scream "AAH! The Thing!!" and my brother has to shut me up.

Something tells me the next episode is going to be half tear-jerking flashback, half action. Gaara looked cuter in the manga, though... I can't wait to see all that follows. I'm liking these episodes a lot... I like Shikamaru and all but his fight just wasn't _that_ great for me, and I highly dislike Sasuke, therefore his one-hour special was like meh... so I'm happy now that we've gotten all these good episodes!!

Naruto Probably gonna end up losing to Gaara and Sasuke will finish him off with the curse seal

as much i hate saying that it the most likely thing to happen cause the animator like Sasuke so much (Those Bastard) While Naruto alway get the short end of the straw throughout the entire 75 episode he look heroic maybe 8-9 times and yet he not gonna be able to beat Gaara now, maybe weaken him cause he use alot of Kyubi Charka during the fight with Neji.

Repetative flashbacks of things we have seen over and over are quite annoying in the longrun, but flashys of things we actually dont know about is nice, very nice if there is more Gaara flashys about how he came to be what he is. Its kinda called story.

It might be viewed as a filler if you look at it like an ep to bring Naruto to the spot. But I doubt that was the purpose of the episode. The purpose was to present the fact that Sasuke doesnt have even the remotest chance of winning ever!, and how he deals with it, and a bit about Gaara and his past.


To whoever who asked "Gaara just a Tad bit stronger?" I was sarcastic in the previous post there, offcourse Gaara is ALOT stronger than Sasuke atleast physically in that form, and if he transforms even more we just have to see, but I can imagine the power he can unleash if that happens.

Now I just hope for a nice fight Naruto - Gaara if they dont just snag Sasuke and leave. But that would suck, Im curious how Naruto will handle something like Gaara. Gaara has to be alot stronger (Physicaly) than Naruto is, but Naruto has his dumb wits that can cause som trouble. I hope Naruto looses [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

okay, so if Naruto is going to loose, why was Gaara afraid of Kyubi's Chakra in that episode?

This is my take on the cursed seal thing. I think Kakashi said back at the 2nd exam that the cursed seal extracts chakra from the user at a massive level. When Kakashi sealed it, if Sasuke fell to evil goals the seal on the cursed seal would break and the cursed seal would take over. Sasuke was reminded of Itachi which is his goal and will do anything to accomplish as an "avenger" so the seal on it broke. Once that happened the seal extracted chakra from his body to power the chidori but because it used all his chakra he couldn't move anymore.

No, Kakashi said that the power of the seal depends on the will of the person with the seal on him, I don't recall him saying anything about Chakra consumption. If Sasuke decided to go the evil path, that seal would break and Orochimaru's power could be used as Sasuke's. But then, Orochimaru could switch minds with Sasuke and it would be all over.

There's no proof that the cursed seal uses Orochimaru's power either and if it did he would be able to move after that. My explanation makes more sense. I seem to remember somewhere that it says it forcibily extracts chakra from the user but I can't remember where it is. That also explains why Kakashi said that using the cursed seal might kill him right before he fights the guy in the 2nd exam.
