Well, on a serious note, it seems to me Orochimaru wanted Kimi's body more because... it's his body that he wanted, not his eyes. Kimimaro's body is able to do cool shit, while Sasuke's is just an above average body. Considering what he knows about Sharingan (i.e. that it comes with the eyes, not the blood), why not take a perfect body, kill Sasuke, and steal his eyes. Then, you have a perfect body w/ full Sharingan (assuming Orochimaru trains Sasuke so that he gets the full double-trio).
