Anyway, my girlfriend is a linguistics researcher and "ghetto" is considered to be a real dialect with grammatical rules, not a "stupid way of talking." It's been shown that the reason that some inner city kids do poorly in school is because they grow up learning these grammatical rules, and are forced to switch to "proper" English during school, which is not easy to do (it's like if you are only vaguely familiar with Spanish and being forced to go to school in Mexico).
