Udon is Konohamaru classmate, the one with snoot coming out of his nose. And really, don't feel guilty about not remembering him. He's one of those characters who should have been forgotten a long time ago.
Why not send Konohamaru as an exchange student to the any of the other countries countries that have diplomatic relations with the Leaf? That outta give him some real purpose on the story.
