obito is really suspecious... because he is also a sharingan user. and i think these clan things work the same everywhere. like hinata's dad trains her sister. so maybe itachi was trained by an uchiha. one things for sure though, he surpassed whoever sensei he had really fast.
Itachi was probably taught by his father for a while and later by one of the instructors (like Kakashi, Kurenai, etc.) but instead by the ones of his time. Perhaps we'll find out later who his instructor was, but I don't think it's that important. He probably greatly surpassed his instructor anyways.
Question: Who is this Obito that I keep hearing about? I've seen all of the anime up to 81, and read from chapter 132 to 212....And I have no idea who this person is...

obito is one of the people who have died while serving. he is supposedly a friend of kakashi and/or one of his 4 man groups. we actually don't know anything about obito except the fact that he is dead and is a friend of kakashi's.
itachi's sensei and/or his group members haven't been explained yet. i doubt that it will. he looks like a real private guy so i think he might've just trained himself. well, he is a genius after all.
but, if obito is an uchiha, a friend of kakashi's, also in kakashi's group, and where kakashi's got his sharingan then i guess obito could possibly be a teacher to itachi... there could be some age problems though (ie. kakashi might be too young).
