What other character has a hidden second personality in their mind? Of all characters Sakura is the one to beat that technique. And the detalis behind their two relationships aren't the same, but they are more alike then you think they are.

Sakura and Naruto both chased after Ino and Sasuke. That much is the same, there are differences, such as Ino befriending Sakura at first, while Naruto and Sasuke took a while to hit it off. Sasuke acted as the start of Sakura and Ino's rivalry, because once Sasuke was introduced, they could no longer work together, more like Ino couldn't help Sakura anymore (Not like she would help Sakura get the guy she wanted).

The relationship between Ino and Sakura devloped and ended much faster than Naruto and Sasuke's (which is still devloping) but in both cases it's pretty much the typical "I can do anything better than you" rivalry. There aren't many different types of rivals you can have, either your friends you're not or you hate eachother. In both of these cases, it was more of a friendly rivalry (for the most part).

And no, I don't feel I'm being general about rivalry's, because there are only so many ways you can classify them (hostile, friendly, equal or one chasing after the other)

I agree with Barles about how the sakura ino fight ending was stupid..it was, and so what that sakura has a inner personality, big deal. It was a little funny in the beginning, but it's gotten old. For me, i think that Ino didn't fight 100%, cause I mean, sakura is like the bottom ninja
