you dont really need to make a static IP because most of the time, if you use the router DHCP it will give you the same IP again and again. unless by some weird incident it changes it. like me, my router kinda went funky and my internal IP got changed, but then you can easily tell the ports to forward to 192.168.1.101 instead of 192.168.1.100 all i had to do was change 1 number.
