My bias,
I personally don't want any time jumping in Naruto, its been what? 226 chapters, and i have a great attachment with the current characters now (i can't picture Gai with white hair as an old man, or Ero Senin dying from old age [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]) Plus, Naruto is funniest when they are young [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] i hope they don't change that. If you skip a few years, then Sasuke for all we know could already be possessed by Oro, i don't think kishimoto wants his fav character to be permanently bad =/
Oh well, i can't stop it if its true, but still, i don;t think its a good idea to take after dragonball in this aspect, at least, not until Atkasuki and Itachi are taken care of [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] or Oro for god's sake lol
