That's no different than Naruto "I wanna be Hokage, so everybody can see just how awesome I am! I'm the future Hokage!" It's funny as a joke, but just annoying when he starts preaching it seriously.


And damn, I think that "time jump" is coming around. Sasuke will probably go about and get strength his own way, while Naruto does the same. A few months, if not years will pass, and they'll meet again. Hopefully, they'll still be kids. If they grow up, the series will lose a lot of appeal.
You are right on that, but Naruto is amiable with the rest of the cast and once he actually gets stronger (around the Tsunade story-arc, I think) he doesn't rub it in everybody's face... he's the same moron he was at the beggining =P And I don't know why, but people tend to prefer stupid but funny/likeable characters to the ones that behave like jerks most of the time.


On the time jump - I'd actually like to see them all grown up and what not, just out of curiosity, but I agree with you - if there's a time jump, it will only be some months, maybe a year, not more. Orochimaru could still try to get Sasuke's body, which can't happen, and the Akatsuki could kidnap Naruto and use him for their experiments... which could happen, but later on.
