yea i'm pretty sure rasengan was before chidori. but maybe he didn't finish it by this time. maybe he'll have his complete 100% rasengan during the mission.

you might want to reread my post.....the point i was trying to make was that the 4th didnt get the idea from kakashiOriginally posted by: Hakeem_21
Or he could just have developed chidori just becaause he taught of it .Originally posted by: AssertnFailure
i would rather believe that kakashi developed the chidori in response to the 4th's rasengan
its not like the 4th was all like, gee....chakra in the hand, good idea kakashi.....::goes off to spend 3 years training rasengan::
I dont think Kakashi is stupid enough to think "oh no in ordet to get to sensie's level and be better than him, i have think about a way so i can respond to rasengan".....

And my point was that Kakashi maybe didnt develop chidori in response to the rasengan.
On topic: Kakashi hasnt been lucky in live even his father died a death that must have hurt Kakashi a lot more than a normal death.
both of you are wrong!!
The chidori was developed b/c of a failed attempt at mastering 1000 years of pain, which he later mastered.
Which brings up another question who created 1000 years of pain? I say it's the 4th!
hey, lets play the game where you get really technical and overanalyze everythingOriginally posted by: Hakeem_21

i didnt mean for it to sound like "kakashi developed the chidori because of the 4th's rasengan"....geez

hmm i guess, i never really thought about the 3 years training/developing it thing.
i think the 4th will complete the rasengan in this mission. mainly because the rasengan does not involve the thrusting action like the chidori (not as much anyways) and this information will be useful to the 4th as it will prove to be more powerful/less counterable than the chidori
i think yondaime already knows the rasengan...and it is already perfected.
i think yondaime would already know about the thrusting or non thrusting, that would be the easiest part of the technique i would think.
jiraiya could even know it now [rasengan], but we don't know anything yet.
Yondaime is a jounin atm.
you guys are all retarded.
rasengan was developed and perfected before kakashi was developing the chidori. it's just common sense to know that we're seeing the 4th in his prime. i'm pretty sure the 4th perfected rasengan while he was in training with jiraiya. it'd be stupid for the 4th to leave jiraiya and then make up the jutsu and be like 'hey, check this out' and teach jiraiya. i'm almost positive jiraiya learned it while he was with yondaime. my point is, if kakashi was able to bust out chidori at a young age, the 4th should've been able to have perfected rasengan around that age.
hmmm i am not sure if someone else has figured this out or not....but i think i have an idea on how the shunshin no jutsu works...well someone said that yondaime made a clone...well thats obviously wrong...and yea Yondaime did travel at a high speed....but i guess how did he know where that Stone Ninja was hiding.....hmmm...well if you look closely on page 9....yondaime has one of his hands on the stone ninja's foot....and on page 10 they show that a foot with kanji written on it....like a tag....so i guess thats how the jutsu works....you either have a close combat and put a tag on your enemy and than fool your enemy into believing that you have retreated and than in a flash you can be right behind the enemy....just like how yondaime did.....
i am looking forward to Naruto learning this jutsu...it should be fun....coz this can be one counter to Sasuke's super fast sharingan which can read every movement...but what if you can in a split second be behind Sasuke while he is coming at you at high speed ???....hmm could be fun
hmm, interesting observation there
it might be possible how the jutsu works,
but im not too sure because it would be a hassle to always get close to your enemy, tag them, retreat, then come back - if yondaime had a chance to reach his enemy in close combat anyway, then he should just kill them right there
for naruto to learn the jutsu, jiraiya must know it already, jiraiya might not know this jutsu, but who knows
i don't understand why everyone think naruto is gonna learn all the jutsus the 4th has. i don't think even jiraiya can do this. i think we would've seen it by now. and besides, if anyone else can do this jutsu other than the 4th, that would make his nickname pretty lame. so, i don't think that's gonna happen.
and yeah, i noticed the kanji on the guy's foot, but i wasn't too sure if it was just sfx or not. =\ can anyone read and translate what that says?
i doubt it.....it looked to me like the stone guy that almost killed kakashi was just a kage bunshin, since it dissappeared after the fourth intervened. It would have to be more like the 4th tracked on to the original stone guy based on the dna of the bunshin, or something weird like that
10/4/04 - 8/20/07
I wouldn't necessarily say it was his dna but more like his chakra(idk how that would work through a kage bunshing but just work with me here) maybe he tracked the chakra by touching his foot(I have no idea how to explain the whole twitching foot thing at the bottom of pg. 9), maybe the thing on pg. 9 was maybe some type of i dont know "my foot is your foot tracker thing" but I know Im wrong about that, but I about 80% sure on the chakra tracking thingOriginally posted by: AssertnFailure

R.I.P Captain America.
the idea of placing something on your enemy in close combat and retreat just to get behind his back is kinda lame even if he does it fast. its useless, with his strength he could kill the enemy at the first close combat encounter. and im pretty sure 4th mastered the rasengan when he was jiraiya's student.
Well, the touching of the guy has to be pretty important for the jutsu because on pg 8 where yodaime saves kakashi, Kishimoto made it pretty clear that he was touching the guys foot. It also shows frame by frame of going from Yodaime to the foot to Yodaime and then finally to the guy shocked by Yodaime on page 9. Also, that #18 guy wasnt a bunshin i think. I think it was the real deal because on the Inane translation it says "zoom" on the top right picture which would mean someone was moving pretty quickly (away from the battle possibly) . It looks as though Yodaime just took Kakashi out of it real fast and took him to Rin and Obito.
EDIT: says "zoom" on page 9.
How about the 4th knows he is there because he is the damn hokage. It makes sense......
he could have figured his spot out from the directions of the kunais as well.
he ain't no hokage yet. and why would it show the stone guy's foot in 2 panels if it didn't matter?
For the love of god and all that is holy don't start a the 4th is Naruto's father disscusion. There have been like thousands of them. When Kishimoto tells us that big pice of info we'll disscuse it, but not now.
