I was just trying to think of a way to make the pack better, especially in such a situation as with Justice. Honestly any one of Strike's original packs were more useful than Justice's pack. What I mean is something simple, like a wing design where cannons are stored inside, similar to Freedom's shoulder cannons. One form would retract them and move the wings into a position to allow more mobility, and another position would bring the cannons out to allow more firepower. Hell, even a position where the wings actually come forward and form a sword, ala Blue Frame MSV. It would provide some interesting situations if the pack was more of an extension to the suit rather than a frame for required technologies.Originally posted by: TeknoXI
Well, if you think about it, a nuclear power mobile suit is pretty much packed with enough power to equal the 3 separate packs. Freedom had like 5+ beam weapons. Justice had the dual beam saber (2 blades in 1) and the boomerang. They both had increadible mobility. In my opinion, transforming on a nuclear powered suit would be a waste since it'd just be easier to have all the systems active all at once. Plus this isn't like Transformers where Megatron would transform from a big mecha to small pistol...
Sure Justice's pack can move on its own, but then the suit loses its mobility. The whole HiMAT system for Justice is tied directly to its pack, which sacrifices a large amount of Justice's defensive/evasive abilities just for a free flying pack that can, at best, act as a distraction. If the enemy just ignores the pack then Justice is simply fucked if against a suit of near equal power. If the suit could act on its own without the pack as a requirement, and then use it as an extension to its abilities then I think it would be much more useful and make quite the badass gundam.
