There's only a few episodes with above average animation, the best being ep 19, and the Lee vs Gaara eps which weren't really anything special. The rest of the eps all have mediocre at best animation with a few of the eps falling way under the "average" line. It seems to me the animation is just getting worse and worse. None of the episodes in the Chase Sasuke arc have had good animation, it looks like the people doing it have been pretty lazy.

For instance, why do the characters have light reflections on their forhead protectors with shadows on parts of their body inside the mud dome when it should be completely black? Same for Neji when hes wrapped up in that spider web in 115. Your guess is as good as mine. Usually the characters look like they've just been pasted onto the background without any skill at all, it's sickening.
