Just a thought about the rx-7 in the anime. I know the thing is about who is a faster driver and not the car because that car would never beat a evo or wrx and etc.

Sorry kclo4 but i have to disagree with you on a miata beating a wrx or anything like that. Especially on a track or course, the evo beat the imprezza wrx sti in test because it had oversteer because the engine being in the front more than a evo. Also front wheel cars dont have a advantage off the line becaues the weight transfer is going back and not to the front wheels, also fd that have over 300hp usually end up slipping off the line in a drag. In my opinion you only show how fast your car is not how fast of a driver you are, course driving is much more difficult, but knowing how to start off the line is very efficient to.

You can disagree all you want but the spec miata drivers are fuggin fast. their cars have highly tuned racing suspension and racing tires, maybe a straight through header back exhaust and airfilter, but they are actually have to run a restrictor plate. They have proven to rip much higher HP cars on race tracks, fact not fiction. Locally they are some of the fastest drivers that go to the track there. An equally skilled driver, in a well prepped higher HP can can be faster then spec miata's, it's just not easy.

The point remains that less experienced people in higher HP cars cannot turn faster times then experienced drivers in much lower powered cars. Some higher HP cars still arent as fast as the lower HP ones even with equal drivers.

Not talking about drags or front wheel drive cars either.
