the only thing that im dissapointed of is that because its in toonami they're gonna have to edit some violent parts from naruto unless they move it to adult swim which would be better

I found out about this forum BECAUSE Naruto got licensed. I would've joined earlier if I would've heard of this place. Seems very nice especially because of lack of tons of picture sigs that are plain annoying and a lack of inane posts.
alot of people did recently join but im glad im not one of them
now maybe we can have our cake and eat it too. Meaning we can see how bad they do naruto justice while still being able to watch the current episodes

I'm glad it's been licensed and all, since this means the games come overseas as well. Unfortunately, we won't get the games until summer of next year at the earliest (except the GBAs), but still. That + working in a retail enviroment that sells anime on a series like this makes me that much happier about having decent shit to sell vs. having to churn out the crappier releases.

Dude your being a mild ass on this. Granted there is a lot of whining and what not. At the heart of the petiton is people just wanting the integrety of the series to stay intact like the names of the Jutsu's and what not. DB is fast, but they're not all that great. They do something screwy with their frame-timing, too - which you would notice if you ever tried to import an epsidoe into a video editing software. I like that they're so fast, but I like AonE & ANBU's translations & fonts better.
It is counter-productive for ShoPro/Viz to attack fansubbers of highly rated anime's, which is why I don't think they attacked Inuyasha fan-subbers. Do they really want to piss off 80,000 hardcore fans by forcing us to wait 3-4 years to see the next episode? (123 for example) I don't think so. We've been desperate to get our hands on ANY official Naruto stuff, so they're gonna make a lotta cash. I think their BIGGEST problem is all the damn hong kong bootleg dvd & knockoff collectibles. If they market it to the extent of DBZ (or more) I can guarrantee them about $1-2k in sales from me alone... =)
I am dreading the bad translations, renamings of characters and bad acting. And the hype will be unreal. I am expecting a bigger response than DBZ, even. And let's hope they bring over the movie, too! Where is the movie? Didn't it get released on dvd in Japan this month??? I must bug my local asian video store to get it in.

If you are concearned about how ShoPro handles the nmaes of the charecters and
Jutsu's it would be much more affactive to voice your concerns here, rather then an online
