God, I can't stand Britain's Got Talent's editing. It's so awful.

Hey here's an amazing dancer, let's cut to prolonged reaction shots and views of the audience from above every 2 seconds. Oh look, his friend is joining him, let's cut to Ant and Deck grinning stupidly and making insipid comments!! No one wants to actually see them dance!

The video you posted is no different, except she's singing so you don't really need to look at her.

I've been listening to Zoë Keating recently in between the K-On OP/ED or kalafina.

She uses a laptop and foot pedals to layer the cello music she plays. It makes for some very relaxing, sometimes haunting music. Good for the ride home from work.

I have been listening to this all afternoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bMLr...eature=related
I actually saw a girl who looked EXACTLY like her on the bus yesterday. She didn't speak though, so I couldn't confirm it.

Lately, I've been listening to Cross Game's ED over and over.

And over.

This past week I've started listening to some pretty sophisticated stuff .

Andres Segovia, a classical guitar player. Quite well known:

And then a little Miles Davis, from his famous A Kind of Blue album:

Now I can pretend I'm classy.

William DeVaughn - Be Thankful for What you Got

Heard this in the car about an hour ago and panicked trying to remember the lyrics so I could look it up. It's a soul/funk track from the 70s. I just want to jam over this on my bass for hours. So damn smooth.

Nice. Only knew the sampled version on 1 of Ludacris' songs, Diamond in the Back.
Thanks.

Hah, apparently Ice Cube has sampled it in his song "Stand Tall" as well.

Having listened to both of them, I think I like Ludacris' cover better. Much more creative sampling, even though his lyrics and overall rapping ability are pretty dull.

Me and a friend of mine were @ a girlfriend's home yesterday. We were just listening to some music and suddenly that friend came up with videos on youtube that showed where Timbaland gets his samples from. Some were just awesome!

Anyho, I discovered the original song that Timbo used for 50 Cent's Ayo Technology Ft. Justin Timberlake and it was Crystal Castles' Courtship Dating. Been listening to them ever since. They're using all kinds of retro console sounds in their music. Pretty cool.

I've been listening to the Silversun Pickups lately. I fell in love with them after hearing their new single back in April, Panic Switch. Everything about them is awesome, not to mention their bass player, who I can't stop swooning over. The guitar solo about 3 minutes into that particular song really hits me.

Also yesterday I bought my first hip hop album. I had seen The Roots last year at a free concert without knowing anything about them and was completely blown away. I did some research and found that their most acclaimed album was Things Fall Apart. It's definitely not a pop album, and many of the songs are rooted in jazz, which reminds me of some of the songs Killa-Eyez has posted in this thread (which are all really nice btw).

Here's one of the better songs off the album. Apparently DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz from Fresh Prince) helped produce this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar3Pl...eature=related

Edit: Oh yeah, their guitar player is Goddamn amazing.
