I don't see any chance of that happening simply because it changes the entire arc and current plotline. This arc is about Akatsuki's ambitions and currently a race to save Gaara. If Sasuke and Oro show up now, it would mean getting very far off track from the current plot.

I don't think we will be seeing Sasuke anytime soon except in some cameos or flashbacks.

well, there is a chance, since it will provide a distraction for naruto to get away and go for gaara. it will prob make more sense if kakashi reminded naruto of their main priority (we all know what naruto's reaction will be on seeing sasuke), and forces naruto to go get gaara with the old lady, while kakashi stays behind with sakura in the battle. I understand what your saying about this arc being akatsuki's, but this is only a theory which may or may not come true. we will see what happens.

also, Oro's appearance does have something to do with akatsuki, since he was previously a member of akatsuki. maybe he know's their plans...?
