While Gino may find Tsubaki's simple-mindedness cute, his insecurity actually annoys me a little - explainable since he's noob, but still. Kuro's mindset, on the other hand, fits the "cute" description. He's stubborn as hell, but his character is rather infective (largely due to how LOUD he is). Tatsumi made a good choice bring him around first (besides Koshi) before moving onto the rest of the less mood-influencing players (besides the "defence comes first" reason).

With that, Crunchyroll sweeps yet another show under their banner.
