You know if Ichigo's dad knew this technique then why didn't he just... ugh... stupid Kubo... this is all probably a ploy anyway to get Ichigo strong enough to be recruited into the royal guard to cleanse higher level corruption anyways. Bleach goes on forevers...
Maybe we will get a timeskip and Ichigo is the new captain commander. Naruto did a skip. One Piece is doing a skip. Kubo will probably feel left out if he doesn't do one too.

Good point. He skipped 3 whole months into his mysterious future. He found a mullet. But I would prefer a longer time skip...like to the end of the series.
