The Youma thing is easy enough to deal with if you just swallow it.. but the creation of Claymores themselves based on that same concept is pretty muddy still.

Hm, I actually don´t see the problem. Youma are created by being infected from the parasite, which grants them super-human power. To fight Youma, Claymores insert part of a Youma inside themselves to gain access to these powers. However, the Youma-flesh doesn´t lose its infected effect, so over time, the Claymores go nuts. In which case they´re asking another warrior to kill them.

Of course, the whole procedure is weird.

The problem I have, mainly, is that the parasite sounds like it's a little man inside your brain, as opposed to some infective, dispersed bacteria that evenly distributes itself throughout the flesh.

Ah well. Given the types of explanations we've been given thus far, I doubt I'll get a Pathophysiology of Youma Extra Chapter..
