What Pitou told Gon in the end here doesn´t matter. What mattered is that Gon made the demand "you follow me to where Kaitou is and you heal him". Pitou never commented on if that´s actually possible. She simply went along with Gon´s demands. That´s why he believed everything would be okay.

Only now, he found out that Pitou had been lying to him by omission of truth.
